A “socialized” future for NJAFP in the year of health care reform?

This year, NJAFP’s Summer Celebration and Scientific Assembly will be making it possible for you to have a higher level of participation, input and interaction than ever before, with a fully-integrated SOCIAL MEDIA program during the entire gathering.

So-called social media is fast becoming a dominant form of communication and networking worldwide. Facebook, with more than 200 million members, is big enough to be the fifth-largest nation on earth. YouTube and Google Video combined had nearly 7 billion hits in the U.S. during April alone. LinkedIn continues to grow as a “professional” networking community. And you can’t turn on the news anymore without at least one mention of Twitter.

Using some of today’s most powerful and popular social media platforms, we will be blogging, Tweeting, Facebooking, YouTubing and emailing you text and video updates and recaps throughout the day. Not only will you be able to keep up with both the business sessions and the educational activities from anywhere in Atlantic City, New Jersey or planet Earth but you’ll also be able to enrich your experience by connecting with your colleagues, our speakers, vendors and staff and participating in discussions of your choosing.
participating can be as easy as just checking your email

We have set up special communities online for us to carry on this “experiment.” And participating can be as easy as just checking your email. For starters, though, simply click at the bottom of this page "subscribe to posts" via the Atom feed. Or click on the top of this page where it says "FOLLOW BLOG." You can also become a “follower” of us on Twitter, peruse our new YouTube channel and become a “fan” of our new Facebook page through this easy-to-navigate website. (You can access the Twitter, YouTube and Facebook pages from the sidebar on the right hand side of this page.

Check back often because we'll be starting discussion groups on the Facebook page as well as here on the blog very soon. We want to make your Summer Celebration experience fun and useful and we want to know what's on your mind!

So log on, start clicking and get social! We’ll be back in touch soon.
